Welcome Robin Martin - New Head of Content

Sytuate has a new Head of Content...
We’d like to welcome Robin Martin to the team.
In between meeting everyone and performing a whirlwind tour of our up-and-coming development schedule – we wanted to take some time to inform you as to why we felt she was the right fit for the company...
And what ideas she brings from her considerable experience in the space.
A veteran of the industry, Robin started her working life at Xerox in Canada, where she took advantage of the internet (the new tech of the day) to answer questions from the sales team about their incentive outings.
It was the first formation of an approach that’s accompanied her through her business life. First understand the problem to engineer the perfect solution.
As she advanced through her career, a key realisation saw her bring her thinking to bear on problems of learning and development, when an influential mentor told her that it was about more than facilitation.
She began to understand that the most effective training programmes recognise the constraints that impact performance.
With these fundamentals powering her performance, her trajectory has seen her rise from junior roles through to an executive consultant working across the globe. Her skills being very much in demand led to her building Deloitte’s SE Asia Learning and Leadership Development function – navigating seven cultures.
More recently, she’s been running her own consultancy, dispensing expertise on how to align people and processes and keep learning solutions relevant and practical.
It’s her thinking, expertise and attitude that made Robin so attractive to Sytuate.
And the shared belief that learning must reflect a learner’s reality – giving them the skills and opportunities to practice the situations they’ll face whilst navigating the workplace and contributing to the mission – that brought us together.
Going forward, Robin will be key to turning this approach into a practical reality – guiding the creation of new learning pathways, empowering our users to turn challenges into solutions.
